Public Broadcasting for North Texas
KERA 13 and KERA 90.1 are the public radio and television stations for North Texas, touching the lives of 3.2 million viewers and listeners every week. KERA 13 consistently ranks as one of the most-watched public television stations in the country.
KERA's top priority is serving the DFW Metroplex with thought-provoking, award-winning television and radio programs - like McCuistion - that offer insights and serve as an outlet for a diversity of voices. KERA produces 1,200 hours of original local radio programming and 50 hours of original local television productions annually. The Foundation for Responsible Television adds an additional 26 hours per year of original television production to the KERA offering.
KERA productions have been lauded for excellence by top television and radio industry awards, among them national and regional Emmys, The New York Festival, The Chicago International Television Festival, U.S. International Film and Video Festival and Public Television.
